The Director of the University Computing Service (UCS) is pleased to announce the launch of an official Google Calendar service (Google Apps @ Cambridge, with Raven authentication) for the University. Having an online calendar will enable users to keep track of appointments and share their calendar with others, for example colleagues in an Institution; up-to-date information from various useful University calendars may also be automatically fed into personal calendars.
The UCS has provided calendars of dates of University terms, meetings of various central bodies, Faculty Boards, Syndicates, inter-Collegiate committees, and so on. These may be added to personal calendars as needed – full information is available at http://www.cam.ac.uk/staffstudents/calendars/.
Personal Google Apps @ Cambridge calendars may be accessed from any computer with an internet connection and a web browser. Introductory documentation is at http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/googleapps/calendar.html, and the service can be accessed at http://gcal.apps.cam.ac.uk/.
