Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 18 April 2018

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 105) will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 27 April 2018.

1. That the recommendations in paragraph 3 of the Report of the Council, dated 7 February 2018, on membership of the Regent House for Directors of Research and Principal Research Associates (Reporter, 6494, 2017–18, p. 385) be approved.1

2. That Regulation 3 of the regulations for the Consultative Committee for Safety (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 140) be amended so as to read:2

3. The Committee shall establish such standing sub-committees as it deems necessary with such duties and powers as it shall determine in each case. The Chair and Secretary of the Consultative Committee for Safety shall have the right to attend any meeting of a sub-committee.

3. That, notwithstanding Regulation 14 of the general regulations for the degree of Master of Philosophy by advanced study (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 506), the General Board may exceptionally grant permission for examinations for the degree held in the Easter Term 2018 to proceed in the absence of an External Examiner.3

4. That, notwithstanding Regulation 10 of the general regulations for the degree of Master of Research (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 547), the General Board may exceptionally grant permission for examinations for the degree held in the Easter Term 2018 to proceed in the absence of an External Examiner.3
