Annual Meetings of the Faculties

Archaeology and Anthropology

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Archaeology and Anthropology gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, 9 November 2009, in the Seminar Room of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, Downing Street. All members of the Faculty are invited to attend. Reports on the past year will be presented by the Chairman of the Faculty Board, the Heads of Department of Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, and Social Anthropology, the Director of the McDonald Institute, the Director of the Leverhulme Centre for Human Evolutionary Studies, the Director of the Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit, the Director and Curator of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Chair of the Part I and Admissions Committee, and the Haddon Librarian.

Elections will be held, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve from 1 January 2010.

Nominations and notifications of any other business must be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Archaeology and Anthropology, Pembroke Street, by Friday, 30 October 2009.

Faculty members requiring the agenda and associated papers in advance of the meeting are requested to email the Secretary of the Faculty Board (fjf24@cam.ac.uk) by Monday, 2 November 2009.

Earth Sciences and Geography

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Earth Sciences and Geography gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Tuesday, 10 November 2009, in the Seminar Room, Department of Geography, Downing Place. The business will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2, of two members of the Board in class (a) to serve for two or four years from 1 January 2010, and three members of the Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Nominations for the election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board (email secretary@esg.cam.ac.uk) not later than 3 November 2009.

Engineering

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Engineering gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, 11 November 2009, in Lecture Room 5 of the Department of Engineering, Trumpington Street. An election will be held, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of two members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Nomination forms (available from the Faculty Office) and notice of any other business should be sent in writing to R. L. Tuley, Secretary of the Faculty Board, to reach her not later than 9 a.m. on 2 November 2009.

Law

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Law gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, 13 November 2009, in Room G24, Faculty of Law, 10 West Road. The main items of business will be the Chairman’s Report, and the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of three members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Notice of any other business should reach the Academic Secretary of the Faculty, Jacob Rowbottom, by Friday, 6 November 2009. Nominations for the election to membership of the Faculty Board should reach him by the same date. Nominations should be in writing. They should be signed by the proposer and seconder, and should contain a signed statement by the nominee that he or she is willing to serve if elected.

Music

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Music gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 12 November 2009, in Lecture Room 5 of the Faculty of Music. Among the business to be transacted will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of four members of the Faculty Board to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Nominations for the election and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Mrs S. C. Round (email scr25@cam.ac.uk), or Faculty of Music, 11 West Road, not later than Thursday, 29 October 2009.

Veterinary Medicine

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Veterinary Medicine gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, 18 November 2009, in Lecture Theatre 2 of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Madingley Road. The main item of business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), three members in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Nominations for election, signed by the proposer and seconder, and accompanied by the consent of the person nominated, together with notice of any other business for this meeting, should reach the Secretary of the Faculty Board, Department of Veterinary Medicine, Madingley Road, not later than Friday, 13 November 2009.
