The following exhibition will take place from 20 October to 14 November at Churchill College, Storey’s Way: Knighton Hosking: Paintings: Recent work by a distinguished artist who combines lyrical landscape with tough formalism.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

A memorial service for Professor Sir Derek Bowett, CBE, M.A., LL.D., QC, FBA (see Reporter, 2008–09, p. 922), will take place at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday, 28 November 2009, in the Queens’ College Chapel. Tea will be served after the service in the Old Hall, Queens’ College. A Remembrance of Dr Alfred Maddock, DIC, MRSC, Sc.D., CTH, D.C., Louvain, Assistant Director of Research in Radiochemistry, 1947–52, Lecturer in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, 1953–62, Reader in Radiochemistry, 1962–84, Fellow and Emeritus Fellow of St Catharine’s College, 1959–2009, will be held at 11.30 a.m. for 12 noon on Saturday, 31 October 2009, in the Ramsden Room, St Catharine’s College.
