Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine, has amended Regulation 21(b) to clarify the timescales for students to proceed to the Final M.B. Examination with respect to the Cambridge Graduate course in Medicine, to read as follows:

21. Except by special permission of the Faculty Board in exceptional circumstances and subject to any conditions determined by them, no student shall be a candidate for any Part of the Final M.B. Examination, if more than ninety-six months have elapsed since they began the preclinical medical course, except that

(b)no Cambridge Graduate Course student shall be a candidate for any Part of the Final M.B. examination, if

(i)more than seventy-two months have elapsed since the date of their admission to Year 1 of the Cambridge Graduate course; or

(ii)more than thirty-six months have elapsed since the date of their admission directly to Year 3 of the Cambridge Graduate course.
