Form and conduct of examinations

Notices by Faculty Boards, or other bodies concerned, of changes to the form and conduct of certain examinations to be held in 2017, by comparison with those examinations in 2016, are published below. Complete details of the form and conduct of all examinations are available from the Faculties or Departments concerned.

Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Tripos, Part Ib, 2017

Further to its Notice of 16 November 2016 (Reporter, 6444, 2016–17, p. 108) the Faculty Board of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies gives notice that, with effect from the examinations to be held in 2017, the form of examination for the following paper of Part Ib of the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Tripos will be as specified below:

Middle Eastern Studies / Middle Eastern Studies with a Modern Language

MES.16 Hebrew literature (special topics)

This paper will be divided into two sections. Section A will contain four questions on Modern Hebrew culture and Section B will contain four questions on Medieval Hebrew texts. Candidates will pick one section from which they must answer all four questions. All questions carry equal marks.

The Faculty Board of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies is satisfied that no candidate’s preparation for the examination will be affected.
