Bibliographical Society

The next meeting of the Society will be held on 23 March, at 5 p.m. in the Morison Room of the University Library. Mary Fissell will give a talk entitled Neither a masterpiece nor by Aristotle: the long history of a popular medical book. Tea will be served from 4.30 p.m. All are welcome.

Centre for Modern Hebrew Studies

The Summer Hebrew Ulpan for University students, led by Mrs Rachel Williams, Language Teaching Officer at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, will be held from Sunday, 26 June to Friday, 8 July 2011.

The course will offer the following levels: total beginners, lower intermediate, and intermediate. It will consist of four hours of daily intensive language tuition as well as visits, film screenings, and lectures.
