New Hall (Murray Edwards College)

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Murray Edwards College welcomes applications for the post of Director of Development.

The Director of Development has overall responsibility for the College’s profile raising, including fundraising and external relations, alumnae relations, college branding, and media liaison. The key priorities are to develop the strategies to achieve fundraising goals and to ensure that the College effectively communicates its unique strengths to internal and external audiences.

As a senior College Officer, the Director of Development will work closely with the President, Vice-President, Senior Tutor, and Bursar to develop and deliver the College’s Strategic and Business Plans.

Founded in 1954, New Hall was refounded in 2008 as Murray Edwards College, with a benefaction of £30 million from one of its alumnae. The College is entering a pivotal part of its history and plans to invest its energy and enhanced funds to enable the College to recruit women of remarkable potential through the consolidation and development of an outstanding Fellowship. Murray Edwards College believes that nurturing individual potential will continue to produce graduates of exceptional abilities. Previous graduates include Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Dame Barbara Stocking, Professor Julia King, Polly Courtice, Tilda Swinton, Mishal Hussain, Sue Perkins, and Joanna MacGregor.
