The General Board have received a recommendation from the Faculty Board of History and the Council of the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences that the Vere Harmsworth Professorship of Imperial and Naval History be temporarily discontinued from 1 October 2012 in accordance with Statute D, XV, 18(a)(ii).
The Council has agreed to submit a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 3, p. 194) to discontinue the Professorship temporarily from this date.
