Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 16 June 2010

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 25 June 2010.

1. That Grace 2 of 28 April 2010 be rescinded and that on the nomination of Jesus College, Oren Alexander Scherman, of that College, be appointed a Pro-Proctor for the academical year 2010–11.1

2. That the recommendations in paragraph 8 of the Report of the General Board, dated 19 May 2010, on Senior Academic Promotions (Reporter, 2009–10, p. 916) be approved.

3. That the recommendations in paragraph 5 of the Report of the General Board, dated 21 May 2010, on the establishment of a BP Foundation McKenzie Professorship of Earth Sciences (Reporter, 2009–10, p. 920) be approved.2

4. That the recommendations in paragraph 7 of the Report of the General Board, dated 21 May 2010, on the establishment of a Humanitas Visiting Professorships Fund (Reporter, 2009–10, p. 921) be approved.3

5. That the recommendations in paragraph 45 of the Report of the Council, dated 17 May 2010, on the financial position and budget of the University, recommending allocations from the Chest for 2010–11 (Reporter, 2009–10, p. 861) be approved.4
