Advanced Studies in England, Bath

DIRECTOR

ASE, a branch campus of Franklin and Marshall College in Bath, offers an exceptional study abroad experience to American undergraduate students. More information is available at http://www.studyabroadbath.org/.

ASE is seeking to appoint an experienced Study Abroad Director to have overall responsibility for all aspects of the ASE Programme from Autumn 2010. This includes overseeing the academic, social, and cultural programmes, managing a small staff and tutors, and liaising with US affiliate colleges. Further details of the post may be obtained from Dean Kent Trachte at kent.trachte@fandm.edu. The closing date for applications is 14 May 2010, and interviews will be held at the end of June.

Cambridge Law Lecture

A lecture to be given by Professor Michael Zander, Emeritus Professor, London School of Economics and Political Science, on 13 May 2010, will be discussing PACE (the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984) Past, Present, and Future. This will be the second Cambridge Law Lecture, organized by the Cambridgeshire and District Law Society.

It will be held in Lecture Theatre LG17 of the Law Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue. Entry will be by ticket only. Applications should be sent to CDLS, 168–170 Mill Road, Cambridge, CB1 3LP (tel./fax 01223 214300, email admin@cambslawsoc.freeserve.co.uk).

The lecture is open to all, and having been sponsored by the University Presses of both Oxford and Cambridge, tickets will be issued without charge. There will be a drinks reception from 6 p.m., the lecture starting at 6.30 p.m.
