Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 3 June 2015

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 111), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 12 June 2015.

1. That the recommendations in paragraph 9 of the Second-stage Report of the Council, dated 12 May 2015, on the replacement and rationalization of facilities covered by the University’s Home Office Establishment Licence (Reporter, 6386, 2014–15, p. 535) be approved.

2. That the fees set out in the Schedules 1 and 2 to the Council’s Notice dated 1 June 2015 be approved and added to the Table of Fees attached to the regulations for University Composition Fees (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 160), as amended by Grace 1 of 29 April 2015.1

3. That, with effect from 1 October 2015, in Regulation 6 of the regulations for Affiliated Students (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 182), the privileges for Affiliated Students for the Natural Sciences Tripos in paragraph (ii) be amended so as to read:2

(ii)if the Faculty Board or comparable authority concerned with the subject that the student desires to offer allow it in a particular case, leave to take the Preliminary Examination for Part II of the Natural Sciences Tripos.

4. That the Sir Arthur Marshall Visiting Professorship of Sustainable Urban Design (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 742) be retitled the Sir Arthur Marshall Visiting Professorship of Urban Design.3

  • 2The General Board, on recommendation of the Natural Sciences Tripos Management Committee, propose an amendment to the regulations to give Affiliated Students leave to take the Preliminary Examination to Part II (in addition to the right to take Part Ib of the Tripos).


  • 3The General Board, on the recommendation of the Managers and the Faculty Board of Architecture and History of Art and with the support of the donor and the present holder of the Professorship, propose the retitling to remove the word ‘Sustainable’ which is now considered implicit.
