Graces

Grace submitted to the Regent House on 28 May 2015

The Council submits the following Grace to the Regent House. This Grace, unless it is withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 111), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 5 June 2015.

1. That Regulation 11(e) of the General Regulations for Admission as a Graduate Student (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 446) be amended so as to read:1

(e) A person employed in a University institution at least 40% full-time who has been accepted for admission as a Graduate Student, and who is registered as a candidate for the Ph.D., Ed.D., M.Litt., or M.Sc. Degree, or for an M.Phil. Degree examined by thesis and oral only, or for a Certificate of Postgraduate Studies, shall pay a University Composition Fee of one third of the Home and EU postgraduate Fee for any term in which that person continues in employment by the University.

  • 1The Board of Graduate Studies is proposing this change to extend the entitlement to apply for a reduction in the University Composition Fee to those students registered for the Ed.D. Degree who are also employed in a University institution.
