The Vicar of the University Church informs members of the University that on Monday, 4 August 2014 there will be a special service in Great St Mary’s to mark the anniversary of British entry to the First World War.

The service will begin at 6 p.m. and the Preacher will be Professor Simon Lee, Director of the Cambridge Theological Federation. Sir Charles Chadwyck-Healey, Bart, DL, will represent HM Lord Lieutenant and both the Right Worshipful The Vice-Chancellor and the Right Worshipful The Mayor are expected to attend.

All are welcome. Members of the University are invited to wear their gowns (black gowns without hoods) at the service. Decorations and medals may be worn if desired.
