The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Architecture and History of Art, have amended Schedule I to the general regulations for the constitution of the Faculty Boards (The composition of the Faculty Boards, Statutes and Ordinances, p. 580) by reducing from eight to five the members of the Faculty Board in class (c) and from four to two the members in class (d), the total number to read 18.
The General Board, on the recommendation of the Management Committee for the Institute and the Council of the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences, have agreed to amend the regulations for the staff of the Institute (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 615) to make provision for the Directorship to be held concurrently with another University office. The regulations have been amended, with effect from 1 October 2012, as follows:
Regulation 1.
By amending the regulation so as to read:
1. There shall be the University office of Director of the Institute of Criminology which shall be held concurrently with another University Office for a period not exceeding five years, as determined by the General Board at the time of appointment. The Director shall be appointed by the General Board on the recommendation of the Management Committee.
There has been an amendment to the membership of the sub-committee for Arts and Humanities for the 2011 Senior Academic Promotions exercise, as published on 6 October 2010 (Reporter, 2010–11, p. 18). Professor Emma Fiona Wilson will replace Professor Philip John Ford on the committee.
