Postdoctoral Fellowship in Analysis in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics

Salary: £27,319–£35,646 a year.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Analysis, funded by the University of Cambridge and held in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. The Fellowship is available for up to three years, commencing on 1 October 2011 or otherwise by agreement.

A similar Fellowship has been advertised in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (see http://www.dpmms.cam.ac.uk/vacancy/). Both Fellowships will be associated with the newly created Cambridge Centre for Analysis, which is a joint activity of the two Mathematics Departments. Applications for either of these Fellowships will automatically be considered for the other.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics and have demonstrated a capability to produce world-class research in some branch of analysis (including pure, stochastic, applied and computational analysis).

Politics and International Studies. Professor John Patrick Loughlin, ED, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2010 for two years.
