Regulations For Examinations

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

With effect from 1 October 2009

Homeostasis

Regulation 15.

By replacing in lines 3–4 the words ‘note-books containing records of practical work’ with ‘reports of practical work’.

and by replacing the words in sub-paragraph (a)(iii) so as to read:

(iii)reports of practical work which shall be submitted to the Examiners by the dates published in the practical handbook. In assigning marks for the examination, the Examiners may take account of the reports.

Examination in Statistical Science for the degree of Master of Philosophy

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 530)

With effect from 1 October 2010

The General Board and the Board of Graduate Studies have approved a recommendation from the Degree Committee for the Faculty of Mathematics that the examination in Statistical Science for the M.Phil. Degree be suppressed and the special regulations for the examination be rescinded with effect from 1 October 2010.
