Dr David Gange, of Wolfson College, will give a short talk entitled Between geology and theology: writing pre-classical history in the nineteenth century, and Dr Emma Hunter, of Gonville and Caius College, will give a short talk entitled Citizenship, belonging, and cosmopolitanism in twentieth-century Tanzania, at a meeting of the Historical Society at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 27 October. The meeting will be held in the Lucia Windsor Room, Newnham College. Prospective members are welcome, and drinks will be served after the meeting.
In the notice published on 7 October (Reporter, p. 48), the date of the film Promises was incorrectly given as 2 December. This film will actually be shown on Monday, 30 November at 1.15 p.m in Room 1, Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Sidgwick Avenue.
