Senior Academic Promotions, 1 October 2018 exercise: Appointments and titles: amendment

An amendment has been made to the title of one of the Readerships listed in the notice on the appointments and titles of Professors and Readers following the Senior Academic Promotions exercise, which was published on 31 July 2018 (Reporter, 6517, 2017–18, p. 887).

The title of the Readership for Dr Manali Desai, N, has been amended to: ‘Reader in Comparative and Historical Sociology’.

Title of Honorary Professor

In accordance with the regulations for the titles of Honorary Professor and Honorary Reader (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 679), and on the recommendation of the Faculty Board concerned, the General Board has conferred on the persons named the following titles:

For five years with effect from 1 October 2018:

Honorary Professor of Human Genetics and Genomics

Dr Matthew Hurles, Wellcome Sanger Institute, in the Faculty of Clinical Medicine

Honorary Professor of Structural and Molecular Microbiology

Dr Jan Löwe, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, in the Faculty of Clinical Medicine
