Professor Alan Baker, M.A., Ph.D., FRS, Fields Medallist, Fellow of Trinity College since 1964 and Emeritus Professor of Pure Mathematics, died on 4 February 2018, aged 78 years.
Professor Sir Alan Rushton Battersby, M.A., Sc.D., M.Sc. (Manchester), Ph.D. (St Andrews), D.Sc. (Bristol), FRS, Honorary Fellow of St Catharine’s College and Emeritus BP (1702) Professor of Organic Chemistry, died on 10 February 2018, aged 92 years.
