As a result of the discontinuation of the Cambridge/MIT student exchange, the General Board, on the recommendation of the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology Syndicate, has approved amendments to the regulations so as to remove reference to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
By removing Regulation 5 and renumbering all subsequent regulations.
As a result of the discontinuation of the Cambridge/MIT student exchange, the General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Computer Science and Technology, has approved the removal of ‘Massachusetts Institute of Technology’ from the Schedule appended to the regulations.
As a result of the discontinuation of the Cambridge/MIT student exchange, the General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Economics, has approved an amendment to the regulations so as to remove reference to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
By removing the following paragraph from Regulation 5:
A student who, under arrangements approved by the Faculty Board, has spent not less than three terms studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has been certified by the President of the Institute after consultation with the Chair of Examiners for Part IIa of the Economics Tripos to have studied diligently during that period, shall be deemed thereby to have obtained honours in that Part of the Tripos. A list containing the names of persons so qualified shall be certified by the Chair of the Faculty Board and published in the Reporter.

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Degree Committee for the Faculty Board of Biology, has agreed to withdraw the examination in Social and Developmental Psychology for the M.Phil. Degree by advanced study and for the special regulations for that examination to be rescinded.
