Philosophical Society

The Society’s next lecture will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, 11 November 2013, in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road. Professor William McGrew will give a lecture entitled The cultured chimpanzee: nonsense or breakthrough?

The Society’s honorary fellows lecture will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 13 November 2013 in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Site. Professor Sir Tom Bundell, FRS FMedSci, will give a lecture entitled Genomics, structural biology, and making new medicines: an opportunity for academia to contribute.

Society for the History of the University

The next meeting will be held at 8.30 p.m. in the Old Library, Darwin College, on Thursday, 14 November 2013. Dr Anne Sutton will give a paper entitled Richard III and Cambridge. Refreshments will be served from 8 p.m.
