Discussion on Tuesday, 19 November 2013: Cancellation

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that the Discussion announced for Tuesday, 19 November 2013, will not take place as there are no Reports ready for discussion.

Sir Robert Rede’s Lecture

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that a Rede Lecture will take place in the Senate-House at 5.30 p.m. on Monday, 10 February 2014.

The Right Honourable Lord Judge, M.A., Hon. LL.D., Honorary Fellow of Magdalene College, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales 2008–13, will lecture on Magna Carta – some reflections.

All are welcome. Senior members of the University attending should wear academical dress (black gowns). There will be a reception in the University Combination Room afterwards.

The Leslie Stephen Lecture

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that Rosemary Ashton, OBE, Ph.D., FBA, FRSL, of Newnham College, Quain Professor of English Language and Literature Emerita, University College London, has been appointed a Leslie Stephen Lecturer and will lecture in the academical year 2014–15.

Professor Ashton will speak in the Senate-House at 5.30 p.m. on Monday, 17 November 2014. A title and other details will be announced nearer that time.
