Touch Tours for Blind and Partially Sighted Adults

Join the Polar Museum team for a touch tour and explore a range of objects from polar history. The tour will also include some of the objects and sculptures outside on the museum lawn.

Travelling Companions exhibition: artist talks

A Q&A on the current Art at the ARB exhibition 'Travelling Companions' at the Alison Richard Building, 7 West Road, Cambridge CB3 9DT.

An online exhibition catalogue is available via the event website.

Exhibition curator Ro Spankie will interview artists Fay Ballard and Judy Goldhill on their exhibition, and you will be able to enjoy artworks from the exhibition online. There will be time for questions at the end of the event.

'Travelling Companions' explores personal belongings as 'travelling companions to life' which unlock thoughts, feelings and memories, and the notion of the skies and stars as travelling companions to explorers navigating their passage across the globe.

The exhibition has re-opened and will run until 3 December 2021 and is open on weekdays from 9am – 7pm.

Ro Spankie
Ro Spankie is a designer, teacher and researcher. She is Assistant Head of the School of Architecture and Cities at the University of Westminster. Ro is the author of 'An Anectdotal Guide to Sigmund Freud's Desk' (Freud Museum London).

Fay Ballard
Fay makes drawings, recent exhibitions ‘Breathe’ Freud Museum London and ‘Transylvanian Florilegium’, National Gallery, Bucharest, Romania. Visiting artist Hammersmith Hospital 2017 & 2018, she sits on the Arts & Health Committee, Imperial Health Charity for NHS.

Judy Goldhill
Judy is a photographer, maker of films and artist’s books and artist in residence at the Physics and Astronomy Department, University College London. Recent exhibition ‘Breathe’ Freud Museum London 2018, and Raki’a screened at the Venice Biennale as part of the Alive in The Universe project, 2019.
