LifeLab hands-on events

LifeLab Science in the Square Peterborough

Fri 28 September 2018 - Sat 29 September 2018

Cathedral Square

LifeLab will be setting up in Peterborough’s Cathedral Square to bring a whole host of science fun for all the family! We’ve got something no matter the weather. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city to see a show at our speakeasy. There we will also be holding ‘Tell me a Story...’ sessions throughout the day where you can bring the kids along to hear tales with equality in mind. A full timetable of speakeasy acts will be displayed in then square on the day!

We’ll also be highlighting some of the less thought of careers in science, especially those in research model development. Hear how worms are used to better understand ageing and see stem cells transformed into organs. If you need to warm up a bit then take the Sugar Cube Challenge and see how much energy you can really burn when you try!
