Regulations for examinations

History and Politics Tripos

(Statutes and Ordinances, 2024, p. 358 and Reporter, 6811, 2025–26, p. 225)

With immediate effect.

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of History, has approved amendments to the regulations for the History and Politics Tripos to update the Part and Paper details to reflect changes in the Historical Tripos and to include the number of terms for consistency, to read as follows:

Regulation 14(b).

By inserting the number of terms, to read as follows:

(b)a student who has obtained honours in Part Ib of the Historical Tripos in the next year after so obtaining honours, provided that they have taken either Paper T1 or Paper T2 in Part Ib of that Tripos and that the student has kept seven terms and twelve terms have not passed since their first term of residence;

Regulation 14(c).

By inserting the number of terms, to read as follows:

(c)a student who has obtained honours in Part IIa of the Human, Social and Political Sciences Tripos, provided that they have taken either Paper POL7 or Paper POL8 in that Tripos and that the student has kept seven terms and twelve terms have not passed since their first term of residence.
