The ordinary issues of the Reporter for the remainder of the 2013–14 academical year will be published on 16 July and 30 July 2014. The first issue of the 2014–15 academical year will be published on 24 September 2014.

Notice of a Discussion on Tuesday, 8 July 2014

The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 103) to attend a Discussion in the Senate-House, on Tuesday, 8 July 2014, at 2 p.m. for the discussion of:

1. Report of the General Board, dated 4 June 2014, on Senior Academic Promotions (Reporter, 6351, 2013–14, p. 621).

2. Report of the General Board, dated 4 June 2014, on the establishment of two Professorships in the School of Clinical Medicine (Reporter, 6351, 2013–14, p. 625).

3. Report of the General Board, dated 4 June 2014, on the establishment of a Readership in Statistics in Biomedicine (Reporter, 6351, 2013–14, p. 625).

4. Report of the Council, dated 25 June 2014, on the demolition of certain buildings within the University estate (Reporter, 6353, 2013–14, p. 650).

5. Report of the General Board, dated 23 June 2014, on the provisions for certain visiting Professorships (Reporter, 6353, 2013–14, p. 650).

Payment additional to stipend for the Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor

Following the approval of Grace 1 of 4 June 2014, new Regulation 11 of the regulations for payments additional to stipend (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 686) grants the Council the power to authorize pensionable payments additional to stipend to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor on whom the Vice-Chancellor confers the title of Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

The Council has agreed that until further notice the formula for setting the total remuneration of a Pro-Vice-Chancellor, as approved by Grace 2 of 31 October 2007, will be applied in the case of a person holding the title of Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor, but at the scale point of 90 (£126,496) instead of 87 (£115,775).
