Tour de France in Cambridge on 7 July 2014: Notice of closure

12 May 2014

Cambridge will be hosting the start of stage three of the Tour de France on Monday, 7 July 2014. Owing to the large number of visitors that are anticipated, the planned road closures to accommodate the event, and the resulting travel disruption for staff, the Council has authorized Heads of Institution to determine whether it would be appropriate to close their buildings on that day. It has also agreed that staff should not be required to attend work on 7 July except in cases where staff are required to maintain essential operational services as determined by the Head of Institution (guidance is being circulated to Heads of Institution).
