Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Tripos, Part II, 2015: Amendment

With immediate effect

The Faculty Board of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies give notice of amendments to the list of papers published under Regulation 8 for Part II of the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Tripos examination in 2014–15 (Reporter, 6316, 2012–13, p. 744; see Statutes and Ordinances, p. 277).

MES.39. Special subject in the pre-modern Middle East: The Qur’an and its History

This paper will no longer be available for examination in 2015. An additional paper, as noted below, will be made available.

By inserting Paper X.14 and the following accompanying text in the list of papers that may be offered in Part II of the Tripos:

X.14. The Jewish presence in medieval society (Paper 9 of Part II of the Historical Tripos)

This paper consists of a three-hour examination. Candidates answer three questions out of a choice of at least eleven questions.

The Faculty Board of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies are satisfied that no candidate’s preparation for the examination in 2015 will be adversely affected.
