Change of name for the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Council of the School of Technology and the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership Management Board, have agreed to retitle the Programme (CPSL) as the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) with effect from 4 April 2014. The term ‘Institute’ provides a clear differentiation from the individual educational programmes delivered by CPSL, and gives reassurance to the organizations with whom it works that it is a well-established University institution. The change of name also recognizes the role that CPSL plays as a long-standing part of the University’s mission in education and research in an analogous way to the Institute of Continuing Education for lifelong learning.

The references to the Programme in the following regulations have been replaced with references to the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership with effect from 4 April 2014:

Diplomas and Certificates open to non-members of the University (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 579)

Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 583)

Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Value Chains (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 583)

University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 641)

The Council is submitting a Grace (Grace 1, p. 454) for the approval of consequential amendments to the regulations for the School of Technology.
