Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 9 November 2011

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 18 November 2011.

1. That the regulations for the Bartlett Fund and Prize and the Wishart Fund be amended as follows:1

Bartlett Fund and Prize

Regulation 2.

By replacing in lines 2–3 the words ‘awarded each year by the Examiners for the examination in Statistical Science for the M.Phil. Degree to the candidate or candidates who have shown distinction in applied probability in that examination’ by the words ‘awarded each year by the Examiners for the examination in Mathematics for the M.A.St. Degree and for Part III of the Mathematical Tripos to the candidate or candidates who have shown distinction in statistics in that examination’.

Wishart Fund

Regulation 2.

By replacing in lines 4–6 the words ‘awarded each year by the Examiners for examination in Statistical Science for the M.Phil. Degree to the candidate or candidates who have shown distinction in statistics in that examination’ by the words ‘awarded each year by the Examiners for the examination in Mathematics for the M.A.St. Degree and for Part III of the Mathematical Tripos to the candidate or candidates who have shown distinction in statistics in that examination’.

2. That the recommendations in paragraph 13 of the Report of the Board of Graduate Studies on future arrangements for central consideration of Graduate Student matters (Reporter, 2010–11, p. 998), as amended in the Council’s Notice on p. 162, be approved.
