The following election, appointments, and reappointment have been made.
Professor Sarah Franklin, B.A., Smith College Massachusetts, M.A., Kent, M.A., New York, Ph.D., Birmingham, Professor of Social Study of Biomedicine, London School of Economics and Political Science, elected Professor of Sociology from 1 October 2011.
In their Report of 8 June 2011 on Senior Academic Promotions (Reporter, 2010–11 p. 920) the General Board recommended the establishment of thirty-one Professorships and thirty-five Readerships. In Paragraph 5 it was stated that the Board would announce the titles at a later date after consultation with the individuals concerned. The recommendations of the Report were approved by Grace 13 of 13 July 2011 (p. 1006). The following list of appointments includes the titles that have been agreed.
