FOUNDERS’ MEMORIAL LECTURE

The 2010–11 Founders’ Memorial Lecture, entitled Power and democracy in a globalized world, will be given by Baroness Helena Kennedy at 5.30 p.m. on Friday, 4 February 2011, in the Old Hall, Girton College. JOHN COLLIER COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN LAW

The College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the John Collier College Lectureship in Law. The successful applicant will be elected to a Fellowship and will be expected to teach small groups of students for twelve hours a week (over 20 weeks of the academic year), and assist in supervising, directing studies, and undergraduate admissions.

The appointment will take effect from 1 September 2011, but no later than 1 October 2011, for five years in the first instance but with renewal subject to completion of probation. An earlier appointment date might be negotiated. The starting stipend for this post will be no less than £32,620, but may vary depending on experience.

Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a statement of research, and three references (one teaching reference and two research references), should be sent to the Master, via his PA, Anna Walford (electronic as well as hard copy helpful), by 10 January 2011. The final interviews will be held on Wednesday, 9 February.
