The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has received from the Governing Body of New Hall, in accordance with the provisions of Section 7(2) of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge Act 1923, the text of a proposed Statute to amend the Statutes of the College. The College intends also to submit an amendment to its Charter to Her Majesty in Council. The amending Statute and amendment to the Charter replace those submitted to the Privy Council in 2008 (see the Vice-Chancellor’s Notices, Reporter, 2007–08, pp. 870 and 954) and include a revised title of the College which will be known as Murray Edwards College, founded as New Hall, in the University of Cambridge. The title Murray Edwards College will be used on a day-to-day basis.

The College’s Statutes and the proposed amendments may be inspected at the University Offices until 10 a.m. on Monday, 21 June 2010. The amendments are also available on the College’s website (http://www.newhall.cam.ac.uk/about/newhallpublicationscheme/publicationscheme/who/statutes).
