Dr Clair Spottiswoode, Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow, Department of Zoology, will give a lecture entitled Brood parasitism: many animals – not only cuckoos – leave others to raise their offspring, on Monday, 26 April 2010, from 7.30 to 9 p.m., in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre, Churchill College, Storey’s Way. Lectures are open to all; CSAR members are admitted free, non-members will be asked to pay a nominal entry fee of £3.00. Coffee and biscuits are served for thirty minutes beforehand in the foyer outside the theatre.
The following films on the theme of The Jewish religion in Israeli cinema will be shown during the Easter Term 2010. All films are in Hebrew with English sub-titles, and will be shown in Room L1, Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Sidgwick Avenue, from 1.15 p.m. All are welcome.
