Keble College

CHAPLAIN

Keble College is seeking to appoint a Chaplain for a five-year period with effect from 1 September 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter. The person appointed to the post, which is non-renewable, would be a Fellow of the College and a member of the Governing Body. He or she must be in Anglican orders, and will be responsible for the conduct and oversight of services in the College Chapel and for pastoral care among all members of the College. There is a lively Chapel community and the College is committed to inclusivity and openness; both the most recent Assistant Chaplains have been women. The Chaplain is also secretary of the Advowsons Committee, which is responsible for the College livings.

It is intended that the post offers opportunities suitable for someone at a relatively early stage in their ordained ministry, and the College welcomes applicants who wish to combine it with advanced study or research.

Further details may be obtained from the College website (http://www.keble.ox.ac.uk/) or from the Warden’s PA, Keble College, Oxford, OX1 3PG (tel. 01865 272700, email trish.long@keble.ox.ac.uk).

Candidates should ask three referees to send references direct to the Warden’s PA. The closing date for applications and receipt of references is 12 April 2010. Interviews will be held on 4 May 2010.
