Society for the Application of Research

David Adamson, Director of Smarter Construction in the Office of Government Commerce, will give a talk entitled Sustainable building in the UK, on Monday, 1 March, from 7.30 to 9 p.m., in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre, Churchill College, Storey’s Way.

Bibliographical Society

The next meeting of the Society will be held on Wednesday, 3 March, at 5 p.m., in the Morison Room, University Library, West Road. Dr Stella Panayotova of the Fitzwilliam Museum will give a talk entitled Italian illuminated manuscripts in Cambridge; old treasures and new discoveries. Tea will be served from 4.30. All are welcome.

Friends of Cambridge University Library

A meeting of the Friends of Cambridge University Library will be held on Tuesday, 2 March, at 5.30 p.m., in the Morison Room, University Library, West Road, at which Claire Preston will give a talk entitled Sir Thomas Browne. All are welcome. Friends: £2.50; others: £3.50 (junior members of the University of Cambridge: free). Tea will be served from 5 p.m.

Theological Society

The Society will meet on Thursday, 25 February, at 5 p.m., to hear a lecture entitled Christology in the guise of history, by Professor Leander Keck (Yale University). The meeting will be held in the Walters Room, Selwyn College, where refreshments will be served from 4.45 p.m.
