Annual meetings of the Faculties

Asian and Middle Eastern Studies

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on 10 November 2009, in Lecture Room 1, Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Sidgwick Avenue. Among the business to be transacted will be the election, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), of one member to serve on the Faculty Board for one year from 1 January 2010.

Nomination forms are available from Mrs Mary Howe, Faculty Administrator, Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Sidgwick Site (tel. 01223 335107, email administrator@ames.cam.ac.uk). Nominations, signed by the proposer and seconder, should be returned to the Administrator not later than 4 November, together with notice of any other business.

Education

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Education gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held on Thursday, 19 November 2009, at 3 p.m., in Room GS1 in the Donald MacIntyre Building, Faculty of Education, 184 Hills Road.

Notification of any agenda items should be sent in writing to the Secretary of the Faculty Board of Education, 184 Hills Road, not later than Tuesday, 10 November 2009.

Philosophy

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Philosophy gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, 23 November 2009, in the Board Room of the Faculty of Philosophy, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue.

The main business will be the election of three members of the Faculty Board in class (c), in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Nominations for these elections and notice of any other business should reach the Secretary, Mrs H. Sanderson, Secretary of the Faculty Board, Faculty of Philosophy, Raised Faculty Building, Sidgwick Avenue, by Friday, 13 November 2009 at the latest (email hs313@cam.ac.uk).

Politics, Psychology, Sociology, and International Studies

The Chairman of the Faculty Board of Politics, Psychology, Sociology, and International Studies gives notice that the Annual Meeting of the Faculty will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, 19 November 2009, in the PPSIS Committee Room, Old Cavendish Building, Free School Lane. The agenda for the meeting will be circulated to members of the Faculty. One of the items of business will be to elect, in accordance with Statute C, IV, 2(c), three members of the Faculty Board in class (c) to serve for four years from 1 January 2010.

Nominations in writing, signed by the proposer, together with an indication of the nominee’s willingness to serve, should reach the Secretary, Dr Mary Griffin, Faculty of Politics, Psychology, Sociology, and International Studies, Old Cavendish Building, Free School Lane, by 5 p.m. on Thursday, 12 November. It would be convenient if notice of any other business that members wish to be discussed were sent in writing to the Secretary by 10 a.m. on Monday, 9 November.
