Graces submitted to the Regent House on 12 July 2000

The Council submit the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 113), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 21 July 2000.

1. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 73 of the Report, dated 12 June 2000, of the Council on the financial position of the Chest, recommending allocations for 2000-01 (Reporter, p. 782) be approved.1

2. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 7 of the Report, dated 12 June 2000, of the Council on development matters (Reporter, p. 803) be approved.

3. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 4 of the Report, dated 12 June 2000, of the Council on the construction of a Marconi Building at West Cambridge (Reporter, p. 804) be approved.2

4. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 9 of the Report, dated 24 May 2000, of the General Board on the establishment of a Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies (Reporter, p. 820) be approved.3

5. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 6 of the Report, dated 24 May 2000, of the General Board on the establishment of a Marconi Professorship of Communications Systems (Reporter, p. 822) be approved.

6. That the recommendations contained in paragraph 16 of the Report, dated 4 May 2000, of the Faculty Board of Divinity on the regulations for the Theological and Religious Studies Tripos (Reporter, p. 824) be approved.

7. That, on the recommendation of the Library Syndicate, the Librarian be allowed to deposit six manuscripts from the Royal Greenwich Observatory archive at the National Maritime Museum, London (Royal Observatory), for the purpose of an exhibition on the Herschel family, from July 2000 until January 2001.
