REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, they have approved amendments of the regulations for certain University examinations, as follows:

Chemical Engineering Tripos, Part IIB

The regulations for the Chemical Engineering Tripos (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 248) have been amended as set out below. The purpose of the amendment is to reduce the number of written papers in Part IIB from five to four, in order that the proper balance in the examination between written papers and continuously assessed project-work be maintained. The Chemical Engineering Syndicate are satisfied that no candidate's preparation for the examination in 2000 is adversely affected by this change. The regulations have been amended, with immediate effect, as follows:

Regulation 15.

By amending the regulation so as to read:

15. The examination for Part IIB shall consist of four written papers, each of which shall be of three hour's duration.
