The curious objects in this exhibition all have a part to play in telling the story of the Library, and form a cabinet of curiosities that opens a window onto the nature of collecting.

A collection of over 150 sketches, watercolour & acrylic paintings executed in situ. Ice Bound, is an exhibition that documents the journey south by the Friends of the Scott Polar Research Institute’s ‘Artist in Residence’ for 2014/15, Daren Rees.

This exhibition looks at what interested Lord Fitzwilliam most in acquiring and ordering his print collection, and features examples of his albums, rarely seen in public but offering a fascinating insight into the mind of a late 18th century collector.
