Highlight East Asia Seminar Series, Lent Term 2017

In Lent Term 2017 the East Asia Seminar Series will welcome prominent scholars from around the world to speak on topics related to Japan, and in a wider context, East Asia. Social Movements, Protest & Dissent in India Film Series - Week 1

Two short documentaries on the theme: 'Practicing Protest, Doing Dissent': Accounts and Accountability (Radhika Kaul Batra | 2001 | 30mins); The Bant Singh Project (Word Sound Power | 2011 | 12mins). A film about Punjabi Dalit singer, Bant Singh, and his revolutionary songs of inequality, caste violence, and rebellion.
