Election, appointments and grants of title

The following election, appointments and grants of title have been made:

Election

Professor Oscar Randal-Williams, M.Math., D.Phil., University of Oxford, Professor of Mathematics, Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, elected Sadleirian Professor of Pure Mathematics with effect from 1 January 2024.

Physiology, Development and Neuroscience. Dr Maria Del Pilar Alcolea Delgado, B.Sc. B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., Balearic Islands, appointed from 1 October 2023 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.

University Assistant Professors

Chemistry. Dr Paweł Franciszek Dydio, M.Sc., Warsaw, Ph.D., Amsterdam, appointed from 1 October 2023 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years. Dr Ruth Leiper Webster, M.Sci., Strathclyde, Ph.D., Bristol, appointed from 1 October 2023 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.

History. Dr Marcus Böick, B.A., M.A., Dr.Phil., Ruhr-UniversitätBochum, appointed from 9 October 2023 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years. Dr Arianne Sedef Urus, B.A., Northwestern, Ph.D., NYU, appointed from 3 October 2023 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.

Pathology. Dr Michael Austin Boemo, B.A., Rutgers, D.Phil., Oxford, appointed from 1 October 2023 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.

Physics. Dr Anton Alexeievich Souslov, B.S., Florida State, M.S., Ph.D., Pennsylvania, appointed from 1 January 2024 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.

Politics and International Studies. Dr Marthe Achtnich, B.A., Passau, M.Phil., D.Phil., Oxford, appointed from 2 January 2024 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Professor

Genetics. Dr Paul Flicek has been granted the title of Affiliated Professor from 1 October 2022 until 30 September 2027.

Affiliated Lecturers

Archaeology. Dr Alfredo Cortell-Nicolau, Dr Rennan de Souza Lemos, Dr David Friesem, Dr Rachael Kiddey, Dr Andrew Pottorf and Dr Philip Stastney have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2024. Dr Christina Geisin and Dr Carmen Ting have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 for a further one year.

Politics and International Studies. Dr Anna Forringer-Beal and Dr Jenny Carla Moran have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 September 2023 until 31 August 2024.

Clinical Medicine. Dr Christine Hill has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 for a further five months.

Computer Science and Technology. Dr Jonathon Ludlam has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2024.

Engineering. Dr Matthew Johnson and Dr Andrew Fitzgibbon have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2024.

Sociology. Dr Matthew Sepehr Mahmoudi, PEM, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2025. Dr Rikke Bale Amundsen, Dr Anna Bagnoli, W, Dr Liming Li, Q, Dr Marissa Quie, LC, and Dr Marcin Woyceich Smietana, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 for a further two years.

Social Anthropology. Dr Marta Magalhaes-Wallace, R, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2024. Dr Paola Filippucci, MUR, and Dr Camille Lardy, EM, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2025. Dr Timothy Cooper, K, Summer Qassim, Dr Kelly Robinson, CLH, Charlotte Ramble, Javier Ruiz del Rio, Dr Dolores Senorans, R, Dr Stefan Tarnowski, CC, and Dr Leanne Williams Green, T, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 for a further one year.
