Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II (Psychology), 2017–18

The Department of Psychology gives notice of the following optional papers which are offered for Paper 4 on the Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II (Psychology) in the academical year 2017–18:

Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II (Biological and Biomedical Sciences), 2017–18

The Faculty Board of Biology gives notice, in accordance with Regulation 30 for the Natural Sciences Tripos, that the following combinations of Major and Minor Subjects will be offered in the Natural Sciences Tripos, Part II (Biological and Biomedical Sciences) in 2017–18.

Subject to any restrictions announced in a particular year by the Faculty Board under the provisions of Regulation 30, candidates are required to offer in the examination for Part II Biological and Biomedical Sciences of the Natural Sciences Tripos:

(a)the examination requirements of one Major Subject;

(b)the examination requirements of one Minor Subject;

(c)a dissertation of not more than 6,000 words, excluding tables, figures, and references.

All subjects make provision for candidates to offer a dissertation.

The subjects available and permissible combinations are listed below. Some subjects have restrictions on the number of candidates that can be accepted. Where possible this is indicated below; further information will be available as part of the Part II subject allocation process.

Four three-hour papers from a total of seventeen: two from Lent Term modules and two from Michaelmas Term modules. Candidates must answer three questions from a choice of six on each paper.

Please note that accurate timetable information for subjects Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour, and Zoology are not yet available, and therefore they do not yet appear as compatible subjects. Updates to this Notice will be published as further information becomes available.
