Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 21 May 2014

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 103), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 30 May 2014.

1. That, on the nomination of Gonville and Caius College, Andrew Graham Bell, of that College, be appointed a Pro-Proctor for the academical year 2014–15.

2. That, on the nomination of Wolfson College, David John Goode, M.A., of that College, be appointed a Pro-Proctor for the academical year 2014–15.

3. That, on the nomination of the Vice-Chancellor and the Proctors Designate, Jonathan Michael Holmes, M.A., Vet.M.B., Ph.D., of Queens’ College, be appointed an additional Pro-Proctor for the academical year 2014–15.1

4. That, on the nomination of the Vice-Chancellor and the Proctors Designate, Richard Keith Taplin, M.A., of Downing College, be appointed an additional Pro-Proctor for the academical year 2014–15.1

5. That the recommendations in paragraph 13 of the Report of the Council, dated 14 April 2014, on revised committee arrangements for estate strategy and buildings (Reporter, 6344, 2013–14, p. 467) be approved.

6. That the recommendations in paragraph 10 of the First-stage Report of the Council, dated 14 April 2014, on the construction of a new building and refurbishment works for the Cambridge Judge Business School (Reporter, 6344, 2013–14, p. 470) be approved.

7. That the recommendations in paragraph 4 of the Report of the General Board, dated 27 March 2014, on the establishment of a Readership in Probability (Reporter, 6344, 2013–14, p. 472) be approved.

8. That the regulations for Review of the Results of Examinations for Postgraduate Qualifications be amended as follows:2

(i) By amending Regulation 1 so as to read:

The following regulations shall apply to any University examination listed in the Schedule to these regulations.

(ii) By amending the Schedule listing the examinations for which the regulations for Review of the Results of Examinations for Postgraduate Qualifications apply so as to include progress examinations approved under Regulation 9 of the General Regulations for Admission as a Graduate Student.
