Faculty of Education: Conference

A one-day Theatre and Education Conference, entitled Stage and state 1737 - The Golden Rump and beyond, will be held on 1 May at the Faculty of Education, Shaftesbury Road Site (Acts 1 and 2) from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Stourbridge Common (Act 3) from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. (transport provided), as follows:

Act One - Guest Speaker: David Edgar.
Pedagogy and performance in Walpole's England, by Julia Swindells.
Talking to Henry Fielding: rewriting The Golden Rump, by Steve Waters.

Act Two - The play is in the air. Speakers: Drew Milne, Jane Moody, Peter Raby, and Tim Cribb.

Act Three - The players at the fair (A theatrical event).
