PRESS OFFICER (MATERNITY LEAVE COVER)
The Press and Publications Office of the University of Cambridge intends to appoint a temporary Press Officer to cover a period of maternity leave. The post will be for approximately six months, ideally starting in mid-September 1998. Duties will include liaising with the media, maintaining contact with University Departments, researching newsworthy academic developments, and placing them in national, international, and local media. The appointment will be on a temporary contract. Candidates should have excellent writing and communications skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
Salary will be in the range of £17,110 to £22,143 a year (pro rata) depending on age and experience.
