Whipple Museum of the History of Science

Explore the 18th century Grand Orrery built by George Adams, William Herschel's Newtonian telescope and a stunning collection of globes and planetaria!

The museum's collections are particularly strong in objects dating from the 17th to the 19th centuries, especially objects produced by English instrument makers. From instruments of astronomy, navigation, and surveying, to drawing and calculating...Come on down and explore with Our Place in Space.

The Our Place in Space drop-in activity sessions are available on several days throughout August:
