Professor Davidson Nicol began his career as a scientist and he worked on the structure of insulin and on how it is broken down in the human body but he was also a novelist, biographer and poet.

He served as college principal of Fourah Bay College in his native Sierra Leone, before becoming the nation's permanent representative at the UN, High Commissioner to the UK and ultimately Under-Secretary General of the UN. Join us to hear from his family and friends speak about his amazing life and legacy.
