Adult Workshop: The Power of Clay

Explore the materiality of clay in all stages of production and discuss the impact it has on wellbeing, with artist and researcher Dena Bagi.

Booking is required. Tickets £50 (£40 concessions including Friends of Kettle’s Yard.) Lunch is provided.

Dena’s work investigates the ‘power’ of clay in health contexts (recovery, rehabilitation and wellbeing). In this hands-on workshop she will lead participants through a physical engagement with the material, exploring how it’s transformational states can help feelings of wellness and belonging.

Dena has a Masters in Contemporary Curating form Manchester Metropolitan University. She is undertaking a PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University, which will explore the holistic benefits of clay.

This is a part of the University of Cambridge Science Festival.

Concessions applies to full time students aged 16+ and those receiving income support benefits.
